Yeah, it's my own memoir that I'm working on. Or *was* working on; I put it aside again a while back. Mmm, types of science fiction: mostly I like the sort of thing I write, where the emphasis is on the society or societies and on characters, rather than on the science. There are exceptions but mostly it's the people and their lives that I'm interested in.

I tend to write long things. I think in novels and novellas. Short stories are in, ha ha, short supply.

I don't think there's a secret to writing long things. That's just my twisted brain. Or else the secret is just that it takes long stories for proper torturing of characters (see above under "twisted brain") and eventual happy endings.
