Wow! That is an AWFUL LOT of fics! Even just the list by itself, without the numbers. What do the numbers mean--page count, or what?

I've written fanfic for The Man from UNCLE, Criminal Minds, Blake's 7, The West Wing (and could we please have Jed Bartlet for President, and right now?), and some other fandoms. I also write science fiction original stuff, varying that with memoir. I go back and forth between the two, because I have trouble carrying long projects like novels and a memoir through to finished drafts.

Yeah it is xD Sooo much jumping between fanadoms is going on. I only rarely stumble upon a fandom that'll keep my interest for more than a year. I have 205 fics posted on AO3 so the Fandom list is actually longer than that.

Long projects are really hard to stick to, imo. Most of my fics that I post are short for that reason. Long fics and stories are just forever caught in draft-limbo. Or sometimes the outline-limbo.
Are you writing your own memoir? And what kind of sci-fi do you like? :)

Yeah, it's my own memoir that I'm working on. Or *was* working on; I put it aside again a while back. Mmm, types of science fiction: mostly I like the sort of thing I write, where the emphasis is on the society or societies and on characters, rather than on the science. There are exceptions but mostly it's the people and their lives that I'm interested in.

I tend to write long things. I think in novels and novellas. Short stories are in, ha ha, short supply.

That's so good that you can write long stuff. Tell me your secreeet xD And character-focused stories are, to me, more interesting than the sciene-focused stuff, too.

I don't think there's a secret to writing long things. That's just my twisted brain. Or else the secret is just that it takes long stories for proper torturing of characters (see above under "twisted brain") and eventual happy endings.

You probably need patience for that xD I tend to switch ideas too often to stick to one long story. Eh. Or maybe it's just a matter of practice in the long run.

Incredible! I tend to have one idea going at a time and I clamp onto that idea something fierce, so I admire people who can work on more than one thing at a time.

Well, "working on" and "finish" are two different things xD I always admire people who can have an idea and stick to it till the end :D
I tend to jump between ideas so much I almost never get the longer stuff done at all ;^; There are just too many scenarios and ideas and characters to explore!

It's backstory for the Director of Project Freelancer from Red vs. Blue! I've actually been working on it for...8 years...

What's that? Director of Project Freelancer from Red vs. Blue? I've never heard of that although Red vs. Blue reminds me of Pokemon... which probably isn't it xD

I wouldn't read it yet if I were you then...just the existence of certain plot points is major spoilers for a couple big reveals in season 6 and 10.

And now you got me on my favorite topic ... RvB is my main fandom.

Red vs. Blue is actually the first machinima webshow, which started in 2003. Machinima is the process of using a video game engine for animation - the machinimators actually video themselves playing the game along with a pre-written script to act out the dialogue (in Red vs. Blue, this involves a lot of head bobbing, as that's how they indicate someone's talking). Being a webshow, each episode is about 5-10 minutes long, meaning an entire season runs somewhere between 90 minutes to 3 hours.

RvB is still ongoing, having just wrapped up its 16th season. A lot of people in the fandom love it for the twists that were revealed in season 6 especially, and stick with the show even though its starting to show signs of living out its expectancy.

A sample of the humor featured in RvB is in this video - this is usually the clip I show people to get them introduced to the style of the show in seasons 1-5. There's still humor in seasons 6 and onward, of course, but the storyline takes a little more of a serious turn, and the addition of actual animation during season 8 added another dimension to what the show was able to do. A lot of people use this episode to introduce friends to the show, as it's the first big animated episode and happens to be a really awesome fight sequence.

I'd love to know what you think of it! Do be warned there's some dudebro humor in the beginning and uses of terms such as the r-slur. And a lot of swearing. Lots.

If you have Netflix, they have seasons 1-13 on there. Otherwise you can watch it on the Rooster Teeth website, or on youtube (but I'd encourage the website, as youtube isn't really giving them revenue anymore). And if you get through season 4 I'd then encourage you to check the RvB watch order as there are several plot-important miniseries that aren't on Netflix.

That Venom fic is aaaall porn (alright, all the Venom fic ideas are just pure smut) where Venom had a previous host whose race went into heat and by bonding to Eddie he accidentally gave him the symptoms of a heat and then takes care of him (and makes him come on a simulated knot...)... that's it... that's the whole story xD It's already in the first draft phase and "only" needs to be refined and edited but meh too many other shiny ideas to work on.

What are you ships for FFVII and FFXII? Hope I'm not boring you with ships you don't like. ^^ Cause this is gonna get long

Final Fantasy VII
1. Aerith/Cloud/Zack, dark AU where a pretty broken and dark Cloud for some reason travels back in time and kidnaps Aerith and Zack to keep them safe from harm. He locks them up and goes after Sephiroth and kills him, destroys Shera and all the time Aerith and Zack pity him but also want to escape.

2. Angeal/Cloud/Zack, some sort of fix-it time travel fic where Cloud dies by Loz's and his brothers' hands and wakes up in the past to a greying Angeal and somehow manages to heal him. Aerith melted with her past self and Zack complains a lot that he's been dreaming of Cloud.

3. Cloud/Zack, they go on a date during the timeline of Crisis Core. It's kinda a bad date, shit happens to them afterwards but they manage to survive and go on a real date after escaping the lab and getting to safety <3

4. Cloud/Zack, Zack lives through the events of Crisis Core again and again until he manages to save everyone, including himself (and Cloud)

5. Cloud/Zack (can you tell it's my favorite ship??), the moment Zack is surrounded on the cliff and about to die by the soldiers, an older Cloud appears and protects him. From then on he's stuck with this strange and matured Cloud Strife because the younger one disappeared.

6. Actually the same as the previous. Huh? Managed to write it down twice it seems xD

7. Cloud/Zack, Zack is tasked to work in the science lab for Hojo for a while and meets a strange specimen which looks a lot like the little soldier grunt he's met.

8. Cloud/Zack, a mature Cloud Strife is made into a summon for Zack (semi-time travel). I read a ficlet once where that happened and wanted to expand on it

9. Cloud/Zack, smut where Cloud tops Zack from the bottom ;D

10. Cloud/Zack, another time-travel fix-it cause there can't be enough in which Zack travels into the future after his death and finds his peace with Cloud (and Cloud finds peace, too)

Whew that's all for Final Fantasy 7. ONE DAY! oNe DaY!

Final Fantasy XII

1. Basch/Balthier, Basch as Gabranth gets Balthier out of a prison where Balthier was held on false accusation and nurses him back to health

2. Basch/Balthier, smut where Balthier welcomes Basch back properly in the land of the living by riding him (and Basch is completely in awe and overwhelmed even if he doesn't much show it)

3. Basch/Balthier/Fran, Basch dreams about pulling Balthier and Fran into his bed and meanwhile they just wait for his cue

4. Basch/Balthier/Gabranth, Balthier is injured but is a bad patient, Fran is fed up with him and dumps him on Basch's doorstep

5. Basch/Balthier/Gabranth, Basch and Gabranth fuck each other using Balthier, so smuuuut

6. Basch/Balthier/Vossler, Balthier was in an accident that left him with scars, he's self-concious about it and since the others assumed him dead he never returned to them, alas they meet him on a marketplace and bring him back home (smut, really, magical healing sex that gives Balthier back some of his swagger)

7. Basch/Balthier/Vossler, smut where they all release the pressure together while on the road, among other things Basch watches Balthier and Vossler together and remembers a time where Vossler was a little more gentle (and then gentles him)

whew xD Just writing about them brought me into the mood *-* Time to buy the PS4 version of the game! xD

Me? I'm mainly playing in Transformers fandom, but. BUT. I have an old thing for ffvii? I just never continued it, and it's not up to everyone's cup, but I has it. It's supposed to be a Zack/Sephiroth thing, but in the future was supposed to include a grown up Cloud. Because I'm into poly <3

Also, I have a half-written Basch/Balthier hurrrrrr so holy shite, please write, because I feel the same?

Oh Zack/Sephiroth especially during Crisis Core is great and including Cloud is ALWAYS a good idea ;D I'm so much into poly and OT3 ships, too. The more the merrier ;) (Though the most characters I've shipped in a single pairing was FFVII, too, with Angeal/Zack/Cloud/Genesis/Sephiroth and Cloud/Zack/Aerith/Sephiroth, too bad there aren't that many fics with that).

Heh, the TF-fandom is alive and kicking. It's been around for a long, long time, too. The fandom includes all types of media, the old cartoons to the Japanese part of it (Armada) and the movies, plus a plethora of series of different kinds <3 And, there is SO MUCH TO SHIP omg ;A;

Nhngh, yes. My absolute ship was always Zack/Sephiroth, with a little Cloud on top, as a golden cherry XD So, yes - all poly, and literally a fav of mine <3 Mmmm, I just. I really want that last one??? Cloud/Zack/Aerith/Sephiroth sounds like a dream and a half oh siiiigh

Yeah writing is just... hard... tough I got started with only a couple of words per day (or just any semi-regular period) and now it's pretty easy to write >500 words :D But... it still doesn't seem to be enough xD

The Walking Dead ones are actually only four ideas xD Oh well!
1. A Beth/Daryl + Daryl/Rick polyamorous fic where Beth dies getting shot and goes with the others to Alexandria. Obviously Daryl would mother hen like crazy and they just kind of grow pretty domestic in Alexandria and start getting romantic.

2. Daryl/Rick smut where Daryl allows Rick to tie him up and fuck him.

3. More Daryl/Rick smut around the phrase "I'm not your bitch, Rick" (or whatever the canon phrase was... if my memory ain't just plain wrong cause of fic reading xD) where Daryl bottoms for Rick for the first time.

4. Daryl/Rick where they slowly stumble into a relationship and it all starts with Rick cutting Daryl's hair.

Can you tell I ship Daryl/Rick? xD What characters and ships and things do you like in the Walking Dead verse? :)

Oh mood. I used to be able to write a lot but now I'm lucky if I get 500 words in a single sitting. Dialogue tends to be easier for me, so if it's a talky scene I can get a lot of words down.

Oh jeez, I have too many ideas to mention. And some of them I'd rather not mention XD

The only TWD ship that matters to me is Negan/Rick. I like Tara/Rosita and Carol/Ezekiel too. And Glenn/Maggie. I don't really like any ships with Daryl in them (except Beth/Daryl), but I'm down to clown for pretty much everything else.

Yeah dialogue tends to flow more easily! My writing process has gotten ridiculously complex now: first a summary what is going to happen from start to finish, then replace everything with "they talked about x" with the actual dialogue, comb through the resulting draft and add more scenes and dialogues, refine, refine, refine and then edit to make it a real piece of prose instead of a script. It's ridiculous but so far it works. I hope it'll work for longer stuff, too xD

It's probably all a matter of patience, stamina and habit. If only it was easier!

Oh that's a good idea! I tend to write a loose outline of events (and sometimes dialogue snippets if I think of any), and then start writing. Sort of a flying blind approach.

They're more goofy and weird than *~problematic~*. I feel like I've gotten 100x more ashamed and embarrassed of my interests as I get older. I'm doing it wrong, for sure. xD

Aw, how come? Did something in the show irritate you enough to stop, or you just haven't had time to catch up? I stopped watching after s8, so I haven't seen anything aside from gifsets on tumblr. It looks like they might be giving Negan some of his original comic storyline (at least what they can considering the clusterfuck that is the TWD tv show), but after all the big changes they've made with other characters who were supposed to be big in the comics, we'll see.

Glenn was my favorite until Negan showed up, tbh. I usually ship my faves together, so I'm surprised I haven't written a Negan/Glenn fic yet. I just haven't had the right idea. :P

Reminds me of that idea my bff and me used to write where our self-insert OCs had magic abilities that let them travel into the world of our favorite characters and at the end we basically had a sort of harem with our faves ;) It sounds like a really good idea! Same here! The exact same! So many things on my watchlist but at any given time I'll instead rewatch the same damn thing a dozen times and once I move on the WIPs are just... staying WIPs forever ;A; Well why not do both?
