Dropbox for image hosting

I'll have time tomorrow to catch up on comments and the reading page woooo, but till then I just found out that you can use Dropbox for image hosting which I find pretty neat. No idea how far it goes or if there are dangers, but here it is anyway.

When you share a pic you have to generate a link via dropbox. That link looks like this (of course you need to enable that anyone can view that link):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/pp9wb9w7rmie2ud/WF_Mag_Portrait001.png?dl=0

Now all you need to do is change that "?dl=0" to "?raw=1" and you can embed it the same as any other link to a pic. I just tried it on AO3 and on here and it worked.

(also you don't owe anyone constant engagement or speedy replies! that's one of the nice things about DW, you can come back to things whenever's convenient to you. :))

Yeah I think I'm just so used to Tumblr's fast pace I always feel like I need to hurry (same with AO3 but I guess that's thanks to Tumblr, too)

tumblr and twitter are just a very different milieu than dw and similar sites. and honestly i prefer the slow but more engaged pace of dw, even if it doesn't fire a constant stream of my extremely niche interests into my eyeballs at mach 5.

Yeah that's true. Hell, not even Tumblr fire a constant stream of my niche interests into my face, probably cause I find Fandom on Tumblr to be annoying ^^' Tumblr did a lot of damage to my psyche I think, so that's even more of a reason to finally leave it behind and move to slower paced sites like DW. It's made me want to draw and write more in the one week I used it lots than Tumblr did in... ever. Sorry for the rant ^^' Basically i agree with you! ♡ Thank you for listening :)
